Today is a fairly good day for games if you like your quality Japanese developed games – And how could you not, they’re always so creative!
First up we’ve got El Shaddai for the X360 and PS3. This action platformer comes from most of the developers from the now defunct game company Clover. Most of the developers merged with Ignition Entertainment (Who is developing the game) who haven’t made too much of a bang yet in the game industry but with this new batch of programmers from the great studio who brought us Okami and Viewtiful Joe there is huge promise for this title. Development of the game is lead by the lead character designer of Devil May Cry and Okami.

Secondly we have No More Heroes: Heroes Paradise for the PS3, with compatibility for the PSMove.
This is actually a remake of the original Wii game No More Heroes and retains all of it’s bloody goodness. The game features an immense anime vibe with copious amounts of arterial gore similar to one of my favorite ultra-violent Japanese movies out there, Ichi The Killer (Kid’s. Don’t watch this movie). If you haven’t already given this a shot on the Wii then it’s a great time to play it with this good looking Hi Def makeover and little gameplay tweaks that make it the definitive version to own.
